Come join the caravans of silver trailers and Airstream motor homes from across the USA and Canada as they wind through the beautiful hillsides of Ohio's Tuscarawas County to gather for the annual Swiss Festival National Rally, the longest-running rally within the WBCCI.  Let our enthusiastic rally workers welcome you in their traditional Swiss costumes and entertain you for a week in Winklepleck Grove near Sugarcreek, OH - right in the heart of Ohio’s Amish Country.  Have you ever visited an Amish one-room schoolhouse?  Watched a blind Amish man make a broom?  Peered into a hand-crafted Amish coffin?  Seen a collection of hand-carved trains or boats made out of ivory?  Learned how Swiss cheese gets its holes?  Our three days of amazing local tours may give you the opportunity to experience some of the above.  You'll need to have a working CB radio in your tow vehicle to hear your tour leaders as they frequently pass on special Amish information or tour instructions along the journey.  You'll also want to be first in line to buy tickets for an opportunity to eat a family-style home-cooked dinner in an Amish home on Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday evening.  Expect to loosen your belt by a notch or two when you leave!

Do you have a motorcycle?  Bring it! A few years ago we added a scenic tour specifically for motorcyclists.  In addition to our great tours, we'll have the popular Cambridge City Community Band, augmented with our own WBCCI members playing a toe-tapping concert for you.  There will be a Saturday evening Amish Cultural Program, Sunday morning worship services, evening programs with professional entertainment, door prizes, morning and evening hospitality, a Day-in-the-Park where you can interact with our Amish friends as they sell their baked goods for a school fund-raiser, make putt-putt ice cream, give us Amish buggy rides, and cook apple butter over open fires to sell.  We even expect to have the teachers and children visit from the nearby Amish School - the kids love to drive the parking crews’ rented golf carts!  There'll be a flea market, hobby/craft show, and a golf tournament, too.  In addition, we decorate our RVs in the colors of the season and have recently begun having a judged RV decorating contest, so bring some of your favorite Autumn or Swiss decorations!  (Please, no spooky Halloween decorations -- we don't want to offend our Amish friends.)  You can help stir your ham and bean dinner as it cooks in massive kettles over open fires.  Don’t forget to pack a saucepan and hot pad so you'll be able to take your dinner portion back to the Airstream when the dinner bell sounds!

There's plenty of shopping opportunities in neighboring communities at gift shops, antique, craft, and bulk food stores, and numerous cheese factory stores.  Check your ditty bags and the bandstand bulletin board for coupons, maps, brochures, and menus for local sites and eateries.  We'll wrap the rally up by busing you back and forth to downtown Sugarcreek for two days of fun at the annual Swiss Festival (or you can explore and see/do more in the area on your own).  There'll be wine and cheese tasting, fest foods of all kinds, a craft tent, polka bands and dancing, carnival rides and games, Swiss game tournaments,  musical entertainment on two stages, a cute kiddy parade, and the main parade which includes a decorated  float with our own WBCCI rally workers dressed in their Swiss costumes.  If the weather is nice, there may even be an evening camp-fire and hot-dog roast or a sing-along.

The Swiss Festival Rally is pet-friendly, so bring your 4-legged family members.  Our rally site has very limited amenities; it's used primarily by the Amish for picnics during the summer.  You should arrive with full propane and fresh water tanks but your gray and black tanks should be empty.  Your rally fee includes one dump.  We provide port-a-potties in several locations but there are no shower facilities.  Water is daisy-chained between trailers.  Electricity is only 7-amp.  That means you'll be able to run your TV and life-sustaining equipment.  Other electrical appliances (coffee makers, microwaves, air conditioners, hair dryers, etc.) draw too much electricity, so you will have to adjust your daily lifestyle accordingly (think "dry camping").  But we plan to keep you so busy that you'll only be in your trailer to sleep!   We’ll provide morning coffee thru Thursday.

If you travel in a caravan, please arrive on-site with a minimum of 5 pre-registered RVs for early parking.  Caravan leaders should identify themselves when registering and provide the Registrar with a list of caravan members, WBCCI, and registration numbers before work week in mid-September.  If you travel in a smaller group or alone, you may park on Friday night for a $25 fee.  Anyone who registers before March 31 and comes to the rally will be entered in a special early bird rally drawing to win a special gift.

We invite you to view slide shows from previous rallies posted on this website.  Select a year to view from the left column.  You'll also find this year’s Registration Form to print and send in with your check and a self-addressed stamped business envelope.  The Registrar’s address is on the Registration Form.  There is a printable map of the bullpen and rally site posted on the website, as well.  After you register, you should receive your Acknowledgment Card, a welcome letter, and copy of the map in your postal mailbox within 14 days.  You need to bring this card to the rally or return it to the Registrar if you must cancel your reservation.  Notify the Rally Registrar if you have questions or concerns.

We look forward to meeting and entertaining you, so sign up now!
